This chook parmesan recipe (aka hen parmigiana) is a family favorite! Smooth pan fried bird breasts crowned with tomato sauce and cheese baked till golden and bubbly.

It’ll look like you spent hours inside the kitchen but this parmesan fowl recipe comes collectively without difficulty with elements you probable already have inside the pantry…all the manner all the way down to the marinara sauce! 

Serve hen parm over egg noodles or mashed potatoes for the perfect weeknight dinner.

Chook parmesan is idea to have originated from eggplant parmesan, an proper italian recipe! Historically, hen parm is a fried breaded fowl breast crowned with marinara sauce and melted cheese. It makes for a deliciously filling sunday dinner and the great part is that it is prepared in under half-hour!

Even as this dish is regularly deep fried, this version is breaded and pan fried with only a little little bit of oil and then crowned with tomato sauce and cheese. The chook finishes baking inside the oven.

Brown the bird breasts in a bit of oil, a couple of minutes on every aspect (no need to prepare dinner thru, it’ll bake inside the oven). Region in a casserole dish and top with marinara sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheese.  Don’t skimp at the cheese, the gooey cheese definitely makes the best hen parmesan!
